On 5 February 2019, H.E. Mr. Cherdkiat Atthakor, Ambassador of Thailand to Kenya, led the delegation of the officials of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Thai boxers to meet with Mr. Kirimi P. Kaberia, Permanent Secretary for Sports Development, Ministry of Sports and Heritage of Kenya. The discussion had involved the promotion of Muaythai in Kenya. In this occasion, Mr. Maurice Odera, Muaythai promoter in Kenya and Mr. James Kamau Mwangi, one of pioneer of Muaythai had also attended the meeting. During the meeting, "Krudin", Mr. Wittawat Ka-Som, the Muaythai Master of Lanna Fighting Muaythai Camp and the students of Thepbodin Wittaya School, had demonstrated the arts and the training of Muaythai to all participants.

Kenyan government considers the development of sports and healthy lifestyles as an important development agenda for the country. Many sports practiced in the country have brought the positive images to the country, in particular, marathon, rugby, football. Therefore, the Kenyan government itself is welcomed and will support the new sports such as Muaythai to the Kenyan people.

เมื่อวันที่ 5 กุมภาพันธ์ 2562 นายเชิดเกียรติ อัตถากร เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงไนโรบี ได้นำคณะเจ้าหน้าที่กรมสารนิเทศ กระทรวงการต่างประเทศ และคณะนักมวยไทย เข้าพบหารือกับนาย Kirimi P. Kaberia ปลัดกระทรวงฝ่ายการพัฒนากีฬา กระทรวงการกีฬาและวัฒนธรรมของเคนยา เพื่อหารือแนวทางการส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านกีฬามวยไทยในเคนยา โดยมีนาย Maurice Odera โปรโมเตอร์มวยและเจ้าของสถานออกกำลัง Ultra Fitness Gym และนาย James Kamau Mwangi ผู้บุกเบิกกีฬามวยไทยในเคนยา เข้าร่วมหารือด้วย พร้อมกันนี้  "ครูดิน" วิทวัส ค้าสม แห่งค่ายลานนาไฟท์ติ้งมวยไทยและนักเรียนโรงเรียนเทพบดินทร์วิทยาเชียงใหม่ พร้อมคณะนักมวยไทยได้สาธิตศิลปะมวยไทยและการฝึกกีฬามวยไทยให้ฝ่ายเคนยาได้รับชม
